Belarus captures place 5

Belarus defeated Slovakia 35:29 and assured place 5 in the Menīs European Championship in Innsbruck (Austria).

The Belarussians started better into the match, but after 5 minutes the Slovakians took the command and could take the lead (5:3, 8th. Minute). While the Slovakians were able to score easy goals, the Belarusian missed it and failed, because of their rival’s excellent goalkeeper. Until the break the head start of the Slovakians shrunk and they started into the second half with 15:14.

Then the course of the match changed: The team of coach Zoltan Heister seemed to fatigue, furthermore two important players were missing (injuries). On the other hand Belarus scored one goal after the other especially their top scorer Siarhei Shylovich showed again an amazing performance. Finally it was surprising high victory by Belarus.
